How a project runs

  1. Talk

    A short call

You tell me what you are trying to do. I ask about goals, budget and timing, and say honestly if I am the right fit.

  2. Plan

    A plan in writing

Scope, steps, price and dates on one or two pages, so we agree the target before any work starts.

  3. Build

    Work in small rounds

A working version early, then short rounds of changes. You see progress every week in plain English.

  4. Care

    Launch and look after

Checked on every screen size before launch, handed over with a guide, and looked after on a monthly plan if you want one.

Where a question starts

Most projects begin with one messy question. Pick a framework and see how it gets broken into steps.

  • Autopicks for you
  • Five Forcesmarket
  • Jobs to be donecustomers
  • RICEpriorities
  • Pre-mortemrisk
  • Unit economicsmoney

A demo of how I break a question down. Steps only, no invented numbers.

Questions people ask

Where are your clients?

Anywhere. The work is remote, and I plan calls around your time zone.

How do you price a project?

After a short call I send a written plan with a fixed price for the agreed scope. Monthly plans have a set monthly fee. If the scope changes, we agree the change in writing first.

Who will I work with?

With me. When a project needs a specialist, such as a native app developer or an illustrator, I bring in people I trust and stay your single point of contact.

Can I update the website myself?

Yes. Sites are built so you can edit text, images and pages from the dashboard, and every handover comes with a short guide.

Why Emberoot and not your own name?

Emberoot is my studio. It keeps contracts, invoices and the wider team in one place. You still work with me.

Tell me what you are trying to build.

A short call is the easiest way to start.
